Wampiriada
For 11 years Independent Students' Association (NZS) in collaboration with the Regional Centre of Blood Donation and Blood Treatment (RCKiK) has been promoting honorary blood donation among the students. We are interested not only in collecting a certain amount of blood, but also in the long-term change in the consciousness of students and the society, so that blood donation would not arouse unjustified fear, but it would be something common and natural. Recent editions of Wampiriada at the Warsaw School of Economics (SGH) include also promoting other forms of philanthropy, including volunteering and bone marrow donor registry in cooperation with the Foundation Against Leukaemia (Fundacja Przeciwko Leukemii).
Honorary Blood Donors enjoy not only a great satisfaction but also many privileges: assurance that they would have priority during shortages of blood, half-price or free public transport journeys, the reduction of the tax base by PLN 130 for each donated litre of blood or plasma and many other.
